2-3 Weeks Before Moving Day
- Confirm your moving date and request a quote so you have time to compare availability.
- Check your current building's move-out policy — many towers require advance notice, a booked loading-bay or service-elevator slot, or a refundable moving deposit.
- Check your new building's move-in policy for the same requirements.
- Start collecting or ordering packing materials if you're packing yourself, or confirm packing service details if we're handling it.
1 Week Before
- Confirm your booked elevator/loading-bay time slot with both buildings in writing where possible.
- Begin packing non-essential items — books, decor, out-of-season clothing.
- Label boxes by room to make unpacking faster.
- Flag any large or awkward furniture (wardrobes, bed frames, sofas) that may need dismantling to fit through doorways or the elevator.
- Confirm final details with your movers: moving date, time window, and any building access instructions.
Moving Day
- Keep essentials (documents, medication, chargers, a change of clothes) in a separate bag rather than packed in a box.
- Do a final walk-through of the old apartment, checking cupboards, balconies and storage areas.
- Have your building's permission letter or booking confirmation on hand in case security asks for it.
- Do a walk-through of the new apartment with the crew as items are placed, so furniture ends up where you want it.
After the Move
- Unpack essentials first, then work room by room.
- Check furniture that was dismantled and reassembled to confirm everything is secure.
- Keep packing materials for a short while in case anything needs adjusting.
